2013 (Retired Number at end of 2013 Regular Season)
The number 77 has been an integral part of the Flach family since they have been racing modified cars in the 1950's and 1960's. It started with Keith's grandfather running the famous number at tracks all over NY and the Capital Region. John C was able to get the Lebanon Valley track championship in 1962.
The legacy of the 77 was carried about by Keith's dad in 1983. Here, he brought the 77 home to 13 victories and back to back championships at Lebanon Valley in 1988 and 1989, before retiring from full time competition in 1990.
In 2008, JC Flach looked to carry on the tradition of the 77 in modified racing, running the number in small block competition, and eventually in big block competition at Lebanon Valley. Here he carried the 77 to his first career victory in June of 2012.
While just starting to find his footing and success, an untimely accident would leave JC's legacy cut short in September of 2012.
In the aftermath of JC's accident, Keith chose to run the number 77, switching from his normal 43 at the end of the 2012 season. He ran this number until the end of the regular season of 2013, collecting 2 wins. One at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, and one at Lebanon Valley in the same weekend in August.
At the end of the 2013 regular season, Keith chose to retire the 77 from weekly competition on cars from the Flach stable, at least temporarily.
